I Thought it was You

When I received the call, my heart dropped, I couldn't talk. Disbelief covered my being.
Tears rolled down my face. I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

And to think I was angry with you. Didn't want to hear what you had to say, putting off our love for another day.

Not talking to you, ignoring your calls and texts. You made me mad and I didn't want to hear anything you said.

Staring at myself in the glass, I repeated, "Why was I so selfish? Why did I let pride get in the way?" The only thing I could think of was revenge and making you pay.

Hurt someone you claim to love? That's not functional. You get what you give.
And now I would do anything just for you to live...

Realizing I loved you more than I would ever admit. Reminiscing about the time we spent.

This experience has changed me. I remember death now. Reality is here.
It doesn't feel good. The pain is real. And oh how I want you near.

Cherish life. Tell your loved ones you love them. Talk things out. And don't live with regrets. Express yourself while a person still has breath.

I love you and I don't care who knows. The game is over. Okay, you win.
Stubbornness gets you nowhere. I know you still want to be my friend...

Hurt no more. I will never leave or dismiss you.
You've taught me a valuable lesson. Now, I know what to do.

You are still here. Thank God, I still have time left; time to tell you how I really feel. You don't have to wonder now you know the real deal.

I will practice what I preach, because this near death experience has made me appreciate your touch. Let me end this by saying, "I love you so much."

Because I thought it was you. I will never take you for granted again. Join me and allow our hearts to mend...

~Cherish Life. Treat others with respect, love, and gratitude. Never leave angry or upset. Express yourself and exit with love. Live with no regrets. And remember to keep it happy!

In Memory of Kirkland Randall. Thank you for placing smiles on our faces and making us look and feel beautiful. We love you, you will be missed dearly...

Love Heals the World

Love is patient.
Love is kind.
Love is happy.
Love is forgiving.
Love is soothing.
Love feels good.
Love is free.
Love heals the world.
When you give love, you receive love. Relationships are true reflections of you. Take a look at your behavior, if you are not acting out of love you'll see it. Learn to love, love unselfishly, love unconditionally, love even when it doesn't feel good.
Everyone needs love, and some need more than others. As you grow you can ignore negativity and love regardless. If you only give love, it has to return to you. Don't spend the rest of your life treating others bad because they treated you bad or attempting to hurt someone because they hurt you. Stand up and show love. Heal the world with love...
~Remember to keep it happy.

The Love I Took For Granted

The Love I took for granted. I thought it would always be around. I allowed my ego to inflate, interchanging kindness for lust. Refusing to give love, selfishly pleasing myself instead of taking time to love back. The Love I took for granted.

The Love I took for granted. Now that it's gone, I miss it. I foolishly thought it would stick around. It warned me, but I was sitting on my throne refusing to believe that anyone would leave me. The Love I took for granted.

The Love I took for granted. I treated it bad. I showed no respect. I was too afraid to be my sensitive, compassionate self. Too worried about my macho image, wanting no one to see me love. The Love I took for granted.

The Love I took for granted. Why did I fall asleep on it? Why didn't I cherish it? It loved me unconditionally. It made me smile. It was a crazy love, I have to admit, but now that its gone I miss it. The Love I took for granted.

~Appreciate the unique Love in your life. Listen to their needs, wants, and desires. Learn to compromise. Remember, emotions change by the minute and everyone moves on when "Love" no longer feels good. Never take Love for granted.

Not Worried What Others Think of Me

I'm free! Free to explore different things. It’s like I'm flying with big healthy wings. Not worried what others think of me, I'm free!

I'm free! Free to do the things that bring me joy. It doesn't matter if it’s never been done before. I live to receive pleasure and give it in return. Not worried what others think of me, I'm free!

I'm free! If I want to be wild and adventurous, that's okay too. I love my body and I'm in control of what I do. Life is always changing and so am I. I'll try new things instead of wondering why. Not worried what others think of me, I'm free!

I'm free! I live with no regrets. Every task that was done, you better believe I enjoyed it and had great fun. Not worried what others think of me, I'm free!

I'm free! An inspiring soul is what I be. I'm enjoying life's journey and what God has for me. Whatever I ask, I shall receive. The highest goals I will achieve. Not worried what others think of me, I'm free!

Free your inner soul. Live without judgment. Pursue success and don't ever worry about what others think. If it brings you joy for the moment it’s worth it. Please yourself and be free!

~Remember to keep it happy...

Sex Sounds

Sounds enhance intimacy. Our bodies become aroused by what we hear. A transformation of sexual pleasure takes place when seducing noises invade the soul. The sweet sounds release endorphins in your brain, which causes natural juices to flow freely in all the right places (wink! wink!) Slurping, kissing, sucking, moaning, groaning, licking, gasping, and heavy breathing tend to magnify foreplay and any acts of seduction. For example, when performing oral sex, make as much sound as you can. It will heighten the moment and give endless pleasure. Pay attention to how your partner responds to those sounds. You may be giving them one of the most fulfilling sexual experiences of their life.

Only I can make me Happy

You saw me happy. Happiness you just couldn't stand. You thought you were the source of my happiness, but to your surprise you were not. Only I can make me happy.

You see, I love me. I love me from head to toe, inside and out. When I look in the mirror I smile. Only I can make me happy.

Dont fret, you'll find someone else's happiness to control, but not mine. I'm free from you, and free from the world's definition of happiness. I do the things that bring me true joy. I live in the moment with no regrets. And if it doesn't feel good to me, I don't partake in it. You see, its all about me. Only I can make me happy.

My happiness is here to stay, so if you're waiting for it to leave, you might as well go away. I changed the way I think, changed the things I say, changed the material I read, and changed the people I surround myself with. I have a true, positive transformation with a new outlook on life. You see, I love me. Only I can make me happy.

~Love yourself first and keep it happy.

Romance Cafe Appreciation Christmas Dinner

The Romance Cafe met a Jubans Creole Restaurant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for an appreciation dinner for local consultants. Guest consisted of Baton Rouge area consultants, one special guest, and Kirkland Randall of Kryptonian Fotos was the photographer for the night.

Consultants showed up in their Christmas colors and santa hats bearing gifts for unknown recepients for dirty santa game. Each guest received a complimentary dinner which consisted of ceaser salad, two entree choices: Grilled Pork Chop or Stuffed Chicken Breast, Seafood Dressing, Sauted String Beans, Cheese Cake with Praline Sauce, and a personalized bottle of wine; everything sponsored by The Romance Cafe. Special gift baskets valued at $200 were presented to Ursula Grigsby, Romance Cafe Training Coordinator and Francheska Felder, consultant of the month, who was not in attendance.

The night ended with Dirty Santa. Every guest that bought a wrapped gift picked a number and selected a gift from the table or had the chance to steal from someone else. The game started out innocent. No one stole, until Toya Davis, Romance Cafe consultant, elected to fire things up. The game was loads of fun; items from Bettysville purses, silver chains, and zebra make-up bags where amongst the gifts stolen. However, the very last gift was a Coach clutch. I think Erica Smith, Romance Cafe consultants, and Ursula Grigsby, Romance Cafe Training Coordinator are still fighting over it.

Great conversation, delicious food, Christmas games, gifts, and pictures by the tree. Oh what fun!

Merry Christmas from The Romance Cafe.

Good Girls Don't Go all the Way

"No pussy for you," is what I prided myself on. "If I keep this good, tight, plump, juicy coochie to myself I can't get hurt. I'm keeping my emotions in my pocket." I didn't want him to touch me, didn't want any type of intimacy, and didn't want to love, because good girls don't go all the way. Good girls kept there goodies to themselves. "My vagina is sacred, and no parts of you are going in it, unless I say so." You see I had to control it all, wouldn't let the natural...just take place, because good girls don't go all the way.

Yes, I let some great ones pass my way. They were handsome, respected me, loved me, I have to say, but good girls didn't go all the way. Big ones, long ones, full of girth, none of that mattered, I knew my worth. I had to fight my feelings and stick to my gun, because good girls couldn't have that much fun. I was young, free, and ready to do the deeds, but what would people think of me?

I released a little of my control, allowing the body to take hold. "Let him taste it if you must, but don't allow your feelings to digest too much, because good girls don't go all the way." What a selfish lover I was, I have to admit. I'd sit there and let him eat me without a simple touch. "You can look, you can reminsce about it in your mind, and I may let you taste it, but good girls don't go all the way."

"Sometimes I taste myself, because good girls go all the way..."

Are you Afraid to Love?

"I see" myself in a new light.. such a beautiful light. I recognize that "I am” the source of my happiness. The more “I love”, the safer “I am”. “I go” beyond anyone's limitations or destructive criticism of me. Most of us have such a strong habit of judgment and criticism of others that they cannot see through "breaking the habit." Criticism breaks down the inner spirit and never seems to change a thing only creating anger, self hatred, and neglect. You know “I feel” we have a choice between LOVE and FEAR. Most fear change, fear of not changing, fear of taking a chance, fear of not taking a chance, fear of loving, fear of not loving, fear of intimacy and then fear of being alone. We have a fear of letting people know what we need genuinely, and who we are. Then here is the big one...the fear of letting go of the past! Then on the other hand we have love. Love is the miracle of life! Loving ourselves works miracles in our lives, and “I am” not speaking of vanity or of being arrogant or full of ourselves; that is not love. That is a form of being afraid as well. “I am reflecting on the love of having the utmost respect for self and gratitude for everything around you, realizing the world is a reflection of you. One thing “I have” learned is to FEEL the fear and DO IT ANYWAY..GO right INTO IT and THROUGH IT! As “I grow” and fine tune “my best” only gets better. I have accepted that “my decisions” and “my lessons” are always perfect for me and that “I will always express and attract LOVE wherever “I GO” and “IN” whatever “I DO”.

Sexy Like Me

What is sexy? Sexy is everything you posess. Its your style, your signature, the way you walk, the way you express yourself, sexy is simply you. When you truly learn to love yourself you can create a new, sexy you. Have fun loving the things you hated in the past. Appreciate you for who you are now and work on the things you want to change. I'm stressing, gratitude is one of the keys to life, therefore you must be grateful for the person who stands before you in the mirror. God doesn't make junk or imperfections, it is crucial that you remember this. Make a song, post it on notes, yell it out loud. "I am beautiful!" "I Love me! "I am sexy!"

On your journey to sexiness, remember to keep it happy.

Stand in the Mirror Naked

Do you want to re-create you? Re-invent you? Make you over? Well, its time for change. Everyday we look in the mirror and we complain about the person who stands before us. I'm too short... I'm too tall...I'm too stout...I'm too skinny...my nose is too big...my thighs jiggle.. I have three stomachs...my hair is a mess...my skin is blemished...I'm too dark...I'm too light...,and I'm not pretty or handsome, are amongst the many self criticizing statements made daily.

Let me be the first to challenge you to change your way of thinking. The first step is to be happy with who you are. Start by loving the things you hate. Stand in the mirror naked, and kiss your flaws goodbye. Replace your negative remarks with positive uplifting affirmations. For example, instead of saying, "I'm fat," state, "I'm the most sexy, voluptuous woman alive." You've got to do the work - from inside. When you change your perception of you everything else will fall right into place. Remember you are your biggest self-critic and if you don't love yourself who will?

Talk to you soon and don't forget to keep it happy.

I embrace all of me - my physical, emotional, and psychological states. I stand firm in my belief that negativity from others is not about me - IT'S THEM!

The Trees are Beautiful and so are You

Have you looked at the trees lately? I walk daily, but I never paid attention to the trees until I started my journey on gratitude. Appreciation for nature and the things around you are crucial in finding true happiness. When you truly love yourself you are grateful for you and everything in your circle; nature appears brand new. The simple things in life like singing birds, green grass, and trees catch your eye.

I watched the wind blow through the branches on a unique tree with few leaves and I thought to myself, "how beautiful." Then I noticed the tree planted next to the first one I observed. It was the same tree but it was shorter. The next tree was taller and the leaves were fuller. We are like trees. All of us are the same beautiful specie, but different. Love yourself and respect the unique qualities you possess.

Appreciate nature. Appreciate life. Appreciate the uniqueness that you bring. Love yourself.

The Romance Cafe Appreciates You

I woke up this morning, thank you Lord. Gratitude is flowing through my head. I appreciate life and I'm thankful for the people and things in my circle. Life is amazing now. I realize that gratitude is the key to happiness, love, success, and prosperity. When you can totally be appreciative for what you have (the small simple things that we usually take for granted) your life will flourish and you will be blessed with more.

Begin each day with gratitude. Wake up and start thanking God for all the things you are grateful for. Make an ABUNDANCE list. Write down 50 things you are thankful for. For example, I am grateful, for the sun shining on my arms, my daughter's smiling face, hot water, a home with air condition, a healthy body, ect... Being thankful for where you are in your life will bring a smile to your face. It will change your thinking too. Focusing on all the blessings in your life leaves no room for negativity. Remember you can't be grateful and unhappy at the same time.

Another part of gratitude is giving. When you can give without expecting anything in return you are truly displaying gratitude. When you give it comes back to you, your blessings triple. Try doing some of these simple acts of kindness:
1)Pay for some ones meal at McDonald's.
2)Leave a huge tip after dinner.
3)Hold the door open for a stranger.
4)Give compliments.
5)Smile and offer comforting words.
6)Pay the toll for a stranger behind you in line.
7)Pay for some ones groceries.
8)Buy lunch for a friend or stranger.
9)Send someone a drink.
10)Buy a friend their favorite candy bar or chips.
11)Tell everyone you appreciate them and incorporate thanking individuals in advance.

Implement gratitude in your life and watch success implant itself on you.

Embracing Change in 2012

Grab your ankles! Take a wild picture! Move to another city! Cut your hair off! Lose weight! Start your own business! The time has come for you to make a positive change in your life.

Look at your career? Is it fulfilling? Working a full-time job takes up most of our day; therefore it should be a task we love. Don’t you want to do something you enjoy? We allow our dreams, passions, desires, talents, gifts, and goals to disappear due to fear, failure, and change.

Life is change; fear and failure is of the devil. Invite change in with a smile. Don’t worry about money and “is this the right moment”. Every minute you spend miserable in your career is time. Time you could’ve spent building your own company. Does your job give you the income and opportunity to work on your dreams? If it doesn’t you need to select a career that does.

Careers should be lucrative, fun, flexible, and rewarding. These rewards come in the form of giving back and making a difference in the community. There is nothing more fulfilling then helping another person, blessings come to us in abundance when we share our knowledge and display gratitude.

Make a plan now. Don’t think about tomorrow. No job is guaranteed; every person is replaceable in corporate America. And after all, statistics state that the average person needs three streams of income. Start by making your dream your extra source of income. Write your plan, state it aloud, close your eyes and visualize it, make a song about it, chant it throughout the day, picture yourself successful, and don’t give up.

A supportive team is a must. Surround yourself with like-minded, positive people. Remove any negativity that may impede your progress and success. In addition, stay motivated and task oriented in order to accomplish your goals. And don’t get angry when someone gives you constructive criticism. Embrace the information and utilize it for positive change. Merge with a high energy team and disburse your true talents.

Now is the time, take the journey toward your dreams. Let God carry you and give you what is yours. Do not let the devil install fear and failure in your heart. Go with the flow and allow change to transform you into the awesome being you are. Your new life is waiting for you, claim it.

Is True Love Possible?

Is true love a fairy tale? Do I have to fake the funk the rest of my life? Am I with the right one? Is he/she my soul mate? These are the questions that many people ask themselves who have been in long-term relationships or marriages.

I don't like him/her anymore, is a common response. I want to feel passionate about my mate. I want to feel warm and tingly when he/she comes around. And, I just don't feel that way anymore is another familar statement.

Everyone wants to feel loved and an enormous amount of attention is needed in intimate relationships. Don't you want to feel special? Ego's want and need to be stroked with kind, delicate, caressing words. Phrases that build your lover up. Worldly stresses are inevitable at times, but your partner is supposed to be a safe haven. The person you run to for comfort. So show your loved one you care. Spend time with them, be compassionate, tune into their feelings, go back to the way things were in the beginning. Remember the way you stole your lover's heart is the way you keep it. Don't let the flames dwindle down in your intimate relationship.
